Calmer
The Mirror Dungeon run for today turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. Fighting reflections of fallen soldiers, alongside abnormalities that just won't die...
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
Augh, fuck-! Shit! Shit! Shit!
...caused some stress on one of the sinners' bodies. It just so happened to be Gregor, whose arm violently lashed out at whatever was close to it, almost like it had a mind of its own. Gregor sweats, hard, panicking at the sight.
This hasn't happened in a while, it appears. Even the Manager didn't expect this to occur.
Dante
LCB Manager
(Oh no...Gregor! Gregor, it's alright! It's over, we don't have to fight anymore!)
Though their words reach his ears, Gregor's eyes dart around nervously, the arm flailing with madness.
Dante
LCB Manager
(Char, do something!)
Char
STILZCHEN
Do something? You want me to do something??
Char
STILZCHEN
Of course I will, clockie! Just give us a minute, will ya?
Dante nods, gesturing for the others to step back as Char goes closer towards Gregor.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
H-Hey...Hey, no! Char, what are you doing?!
Gregor's panic rises just a bit, causing the appendage to almost strike the other in the torso. Just barely, Char manages to dodge it, and they grab Gregor by the shoulders.
Char
STILZCHEN
Alright, alright. Talk to me. Talk to me about anything.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
Wh-What?
Char
STILZCHEN
Is it because we fought the captain again?
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
I-I guess...?
Char
STILZCHEN
Okay...Listen to me real quick.
Perplexed and confused, Gregor faces them to the best of his ability, listening as the arm slowly calms at the sound of Char's voice.
Char
STILZCHEN
You're probably still not over the whole fact that we're bug-like. And I get it, you know. But what happened to us? That shit wasn't our fault.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
I know that, bud. It's just...
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
I...really dunno how you manage it.
Char
STILZCHEN
That's the thing! I don't manage it. When I joined, I was just like you. Wanting to hide forever, pretending the weird parts aren't real. All that.
Char
STILZCHEN
We can't do that all the time. Can't hide it. Just gotta accept it. 'least when you do hide it—
A blush forms on Char's face, though Gregor's head is too bowed to see it.
Char
STILZCHEN
—We can hide together, yeah?
He was stressed out over multiple factors. Seeing the others die in painful ways was something that should be normal by this point. But if there's one person Gregor would never want to see hurt at all, it's probably the one who resembles a moth.
Moths aren't so bad, he thinks to himself but never admits out loud.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
Char.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
.....
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
Hah...you're right.
A smile forms on the sinner's face as he returns to his usual self, slowly. Char smiles.
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
This is probably really embarrassing for you, huh? Sorry 'bout that.
Char
STILZCHEN
Embarrassing? Oh, I'll show you embarrassing!
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
What the-?! Aw, not again!!
The moth picks up their beloved friend, swinging him around as he protests loudly. Their conversation takes a lighthearted turn as Char continues to drag Gregor around. If the Manager could sigh in relief, they would. Instead, they can only watch with happy ticks.
Dante
LCB Manager
(Huh. They really do get along.)
Gregor
UNGEZIEFER
Put me down, will you! I swear, next time you'll be the one being thrown around!
Char
STILZCHEN
You wish!
Two soldiers laugh their pains away, knowing they have each other.
